Building
Do not build bases blocking any major roadways. If this is found, your base will be destroyed to create a path through without warning.
Bases can be in any direction any distance. You have a PERSONAL prop limit. When this is reached, you will not be able to add more but your crew mates can! To get started with building a base here are a list of things you need to get started:
Foundation
3 walls minimum
4 pillars
A ceiling
Additional pieces could be stairs for a second floor, half walls to keep the zombies out of your front yard, half roof pieces to help make those bases aesthetic, etc.
Anything extra would be window walls, windows, high external walls, high external gates, garage doors, garage frames stairs, wooden/metal/metal2 storage containers, generator, etc. You are able to find these parts instead of farming for the materials by killing zombies or lootable vehicles. If you build a base and it blocks any major roadways or public buildings (ie. gas stations, car customization shops, the mines, near missions, the prison, zombie nests, etc.) your base will be destroyed to create a path through without warning
You can set a code on your doors and windows by third eyeing those pieces. Once you see the settings, click the keypad. Enter a code. This does not make you need a code, however, anyone outside of you, will need a code. Even your crew members. Keep in mind that putting the wrong code in will result in you being locked out of it for an undetermined amount of time.
Bases will deteriorate over time. There is a natural decay rate. Recommended maintenance is every 2-3 days, and we also have a small stock box, that once placed will allow you to place materials inside it for automatic repairs - you still need to check on your box, and ensure it is repaired & full of materials. You need to ensure you have the items in there for it to pull from.
